Deals VIPs (dealsvips.com) is the data controller responsible for your personal data. We operate a free WhatsApp subscription service that delivers personalized promotional deals from participating local merchants and brand partners.

We collect the following personal data when you sign up to Deals VIPs:

• Identity: your title, first name, last name, and preferred name;
• Contact: your WhatsApp number (in full international E.164 format);
• Location: your country, region/state, city, and suburb or neighbourhood;
• Preferences: the deal categories you select, your preferred message frequency, and how you prefer to discover deals (near you, online, or both);
• Special-occasion dates: your birthday and/or anniversary, if you choose to share them (these are used only to send you relevant celebratory offers);
• Consent record: the fact, date, and channel through which you gave consent (e.g. "Website Form").

We do not collect payment information — the Service is free. We do not collect sensitive special-category data (such as health, ethnicity, or political opinions) beyond the optional birthday/anniversary dates you voluntarily provide for personalization.

Under the GDPR, we rely on the following lawful bases for processing your personal data:

• Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) — for sending you personalized promotional WhatsApp messages, including those sent on behalf of Participating Vendors;
• Contract (Article 6(1)(b)) — for taking the steps necessary to set up and maintain your membership;
• Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) — for limited analytics, service improvement, and fraud prevention, where these do not override your rights.

For any birthday or anniversary dates you share, we process these on the basis of your explicit consent for the sole purpose of sending you relevant special-occasion offers.

This is the core of how Deals VIPs works. When you give consent at sign-up, you permit Deals VIPs and participating third-party vendors and merchants ("Participating Vendors") to send you personalized promotional WhatsApp messages.

Specifically, your consent permits:

• Participating Vendors to send, or to cause Deals VIPs to send on their behalf, deal messages to your WhatsApp number;
• Messages to be matched to the categories, location, and frequency preferences you provided;
• Your name, WhatsApp number, location, and preference data to be shared with a Participating Vendor only to the extent necessary for that vendor to deliver a deal you requested.

Participating Vendors typically include local retailers, restaurants, salons, electronics stores, travel providers, and other businesses whose offers fall within the categories you selected. We do not sell your personal data. Sharing is limited to delivery of the deals you asked for.

You can withdraw this consent at any time by replying STOP to any message. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of messages sent before withdrawal.

We use your personal data to:

• Set up and maintain your Deals VIPs membership;
• Match you to relevant deals from Participating Vendors based on your selected categories, location, and frequency;
• Personalize messages, including using your name and any special-occasion dates you shared;
• Deliver those deals to your WhatsApp number;
• Understand which categories and deals are popular so we can improve the Service;
• Respond to your enquiries and fulfil your rights requests.

We share your personal data with the following recipients:

• Participating Vendors — only those whose offers match your selected categories, and only to the extent necessary to deliver the relevant deal;
• WhatsApp (Meta) — as a processor, to deliver messages to your number. Meta's own terms and privacy policy apply to use of the WhatsApp platform;
• Service providers — hosting, CRM, and analytics providers who process data on our behalf under contract and appropriate safeguards;
• Legal authorities — where required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

Your personal data may be processed in countries other than your own — for example, because WhatsApp/Meta, our hosting providers, or Participating Vendors operate internationally. Where this occurs, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, or another lawful transfer mechanism, and we require our service providers to apply equivalent protections.

We keep your personal data for as long as you remain an active member of Deals VIPs. When you unsubscribe (by replying STOP) or request account deletion, we will remove your data from active deal delivery promptly and delete it in accordance with applicable law, unless retention is required for legal, accounting, or dispute purposes.

Under the GDPR and similar laws, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
• Erasure — ask us to delete your personal data ("right to be forgotten");
• Restriction — ask us to limit processing in certain circumstances;
• Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format;
• Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing;
• Withdraw consent — at any time, by replying STOP or contacting us, without affecting prior processing.

The Service is not directed at children under 16 (or the age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone below that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
